Abstract Presentation Guidelines

 
Category 01

Oral Presentation

For abstracts selected by the Scientific Committee for live oral delivery in a conference session, followed by a Q&A with the floor and session chair. Abstracts under this category will be published in the Malaysian Family Physician journal.

Presentation Format

  • All participants will use the laptop prepared by the conference for presentation
  • Using your own laptop is NOT allowed
  • Only Microsoft PowerPoint (PPTX) format is allowed — other tools such as Canva or Prezi are not accepted

Time Allocation

Segment Duration
Oral presentation 8 minutes
Question & Answer session 2 minutes
Total slot per presenter 10 minutes

Slides are controlled using the laser pointer provided at the podium. Timing is enforced using a caution bell system:

8 minutes 2× bell End of talk — Q&A begins, stopwatch reset
2 minutes (into Q&A) 1× bell End of Q&A

Submission Requirements

  • Submit your presentation file via your User Dashboard by 3rd August 2026
  • Make sure the file format is PPTX when submitted
  • Make sure the slides are in 16:9 format for better visual quality
  • Rename the filename as your Abstract ID, e.g. Abstract 105 — no special characters, and do not rename it as the abstract title
  • Files will be uploaded in advance to the presenting computers by the organiser
  • Bring a backup copy on a USB memory stick on the day of presentation
  • You can check or upload your slide at the speaker preview room

On the Day

  • Be at the designated hall at least 30 minutes prior to your oral session to check your slides
  • Standard digital projectors for data and video projection will be provided in the conference hall
  • A laser pointer/slide remote will be provided at the podium
  • Dress code: Formal Attire
  • Presenters are advised to attend the full session (not only their own slot)
  • Presentation slot will be announced in a follow-up email and the programme schedule — stay tuned
Category 02

Physical Poster Presentation

For abstracts presented as a printed poster, physically mounted and displayed on-site, with the presenter attending during the designated poster viewing/judging session. Abstracts under this category will be published in the Malaysian Family Physician journal.

Poster Format & Size

Specification Detail
Size A0, portrait orientation (approx. 84.1 cm × 118.9 cm)
Compliance Posters that do not follow the recommended size will not be displayed
Legibility Poster must be well-labelled and visible from a distance of 10 feet
Mounting material Double-sided foam tape (not provided — bring your own)

Required Poster Content

  • Title must be identical to the title submitted in the abstract
  • Content flow must follow the same subheadings as the abstract
  • References may be added at the end of the poster
  • Incorporate any amendments suggested by the reviewers before printing
  • Poster ID (from your letter of acceptance) will be used to label your assigned panel location

Printing

  • You will need to print the poster yourself and bring it to the conference
  • The organiser will not print the poster for you and does not provide a poster printing service

Slots & Soft-Copy Submission

  • Physical poster slots are limited to 150; subsequent accepted posters beyond this will automatically be assigned as e-posters instead
  • Submit a soft-copy PDF of your poster via your User Dashboard by 3rd August 2026

Display & Judging Logistics

  • Poster panel area: Level 1 — your position is labelled with your Poster ID (stated in your letter of acceptance)
  • Each author is responsible for mounting and removing their own poster
  • Poster installation window: 15:00–20:00 on 4th September 2026, or before 08:00 on 5th September 2026
  • Poster removal: before 15:00 on 7th September 2026
  • The organiser is not responsible for any poster damaged or lost after the removal deadline
  • Judging takes place anytime between Day 1 (5th September 2026) and Day 2 (6th September 2026)
  • Selected finalists will be notified by email and are expected to be at their poster site for a Q&A session during judging
  • Poster winners will be announced at the closing ceremony
Category 03

E‑Poster Presentation

For abstracts presented digitally on screen/kiosk display. Abstracts under this category will be published in the Malaysian Family Physician journal.

  • Submit your soft-copy poster as a PDF file via your User Dashboard
  • Submission deadline: 3rd August 2026

Display & Publication

  • Displayed via LED screen at Level 1 and Level 3, arranged according to your Poster ID
  • Presenters whose physical-poster slot is unavailable (slots beyond the first 150 accepted posters) will automatically be displayed in this e-poster format instead
  • Abstract will be published in the Malaysian Family Physician journal
Category 04

E‑Poster Presentation (No Publication)

Same as the standard E‑Poster Presentation category — same file format, size, and submission method. The only difference is that the abstract/poster under this category will not be published in the Malaysian Family Physician journal.

  • Presenting Author must register and pay for the conference before 15 July 2026
  • Certificates of presentation will be issued to all presenters after the conference
