Dr. Rohayah is the Head of Family Medicine Specialty, Ministry of Health Malaysia, and a Consultant Family Medicine Specialist at Klinik Kesihatan Sultan Ismail, Johor Bahru. She obtained her medical degree from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 1992 and her specialist qualification in Family Medicine from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2002. With over 34 years of clinical experience, she has extensive expertise and leadership experience in primary healthcare. Her areas of interest include chronic and infectious disease management, reproductive health, preventive care, and tuberculosis control, with a strong focus on TB screening, treatment, and latent TB infection. She is passionate about reducing maternal, perinatal, and under-five mortality through early intervention and strengthening primary healthcare services. She is also actively involved in quality and innovation projects, research, audits, and serves as a trainer and advisor for various training programmes and scientific events.
