Dr. Abdul Kadir obtained his primary medical degree from Trinity College Dublin in 1999. After completing
his masters in Obsterics & Gynaecology, he joined UKM in 2011. He did his subspeciality training in
Reproductive Medicine in the UKM Advanced Reproductive Centre. He also has a PhD in endometriosis
progesterone receptors isoforms. Dr. Abdul Kadir is currently an Associate Professor and Consultant
Obstetrician & Gynaecologist and the Head of the Advanced Reproductive Centre (ARC) in Hospital
Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre (UKMMC). He is also the
founding and immediate past president of the Malaysian society for fertility preservation (MSFP). He is
currently in the National Reproductive Medicine medical education sub-committee of Malaysian Medical
Council (MMC), the Malaysian universities representative in the Ministry of Health (MOH) Reproductive
Medicine training sub-committee and the MOH national ART committee and also a member of the
conjoint board for O&G training. He is passionate about teaching and is a well-known speaker in Malaysia
and Internationally. He holds the authorship of a numerous peer reviewed academic and a regular
reviewer in both local and international publications.
