Nurainul Hana binti ShamsuddinDrSenior Lecturer/Family Medicine Specialist/Adolescent Health Fellowship
Dr Nurainul Hana Shamsuddin is a senior lecturer and Family Medicine Specialist at the Faculty of Medicine & Health Sciences in Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). She currently heads the Department of Family Medicine in both the Faculty and Hospital Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah, UPM and is the Chairperson for the Specialty Committee of the Family Medicine Specialty (JKKPK) for Public Malaysian Universities. She graduated with an MBBS in 2002 and Masters in Family Medicine in 2014, both from University Malaya. She continued to pursue a three year subspecialty training in Adolescent Health in Primary Care with two years in Adolescent Medicine at Hospital Tunku Azizah, Kuala Lumpur and the Hospital for Sick Children/University of Toronto, Ontario and a year in the Adolescent and Child Clinic at Klinik Primer PPUKM under primary care. She completed a Clinical Fellowship in Adolescent Medicine from the University of Toronto in 2023 at the end of her training. She is currently a council member of the Malaysian Association of Adolescent Health (MAAH) and Exercise is Medicine Malaysia (EIMM) and has served in the past as a Vice President and executive committee of the Family Medicine Specialists Malaysia Association (FMSA). She is a proud mother of three young people between the ages of 14 – 22 years old, which has much to do with her passion for advocating, learning, and being involved in the care of adolescents and young adults (AYAs).
