Nurkhairulnisa Binti Abu IshakDrObstetric & Gynecology Specialist
Dr Nurkhairulnisa binti Abu Ishak is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the Kulliyyah of Medicine, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), and currently serves as the Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. She graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), where she completed both her undergraduate and postgraduate medical training, and has been involved in Obstetrics and Gynaecology practice for over 15 years.
A strong advocate for medical education, Dr Nisa is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, as well as various courses and training programmes aimed at promoting high standards of care in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
She completed her subspecialty training in Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology (PAG) at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2021 and has since been providing dedicated PAG services at IIUM. She has also successfully passed the International Fellowship Examination in Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology (IFEPAG), an internationally recognised qualification in the field of Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology. Her areas of clinical interest include menstrual disorders in adolescents, Turner syndrome, and Müllerian anomalies.
